Dr. Alexander Shraga is a Board-Certified  Dermatologist who has been in practice since completing his residency training in 2003. He founded Access Dermatology in 2022 to give expression to his commitment to quality, convenient and accessible dermatological care, with a focus on Telehealth and virtual eVisits.  He has advanced clinical interest in acne; allergic and atopic dermatitis (eczema); hair loss; nail disorders; hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating); dyspigmentation (dark spots/white spots); psoriasis; and rosacea, among other areas of expertise, treating all ages from infants to elderly adults.   

He studied medicine at the highly-regarded Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore, Maryland, earning his MD degree at one of the top medical schools in the country.   He also earned a Master's in Public Health (MPH) from the Johns Hopkins University School of Public Health.  He graduated Hopkins with academic honors and was inducted into Delta Omega honor society. Following medical school, he performed his Internship in Internal Medicine at Albert Einstein College of Medicine / Long Island Jewish Medical Center, and completed his Residency in Dermatology at the New York Medical College program.     
  

Dr. Shraga has received numerous awards and honors throughout his education and training. He has co-authored a textbook chapter and has published articles in the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology and the journal of Skin and Aging.  He has delivered presentations at the New York Academy of Medicine and at the annual national meeting of the American Academy of Dermatology.  

On staff at Princeton Medical Center, he has served as consultant on-call to the hospital and emergency room, and has given lectures to resident physicians and medical students.  He has also served as Section Chief, Section of Dermatology, Department of Medicine.  
  

Dr. Shraga is a  Board-Certified Dermatologist, Diplomat of the American Board of Dermatology; Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology; American Society for Dermatologic Surgery; Affiliate Member of the American Society for Mohs Surgery; Member of the International Society of Teledermatology; American Acne and Rosacea Society; and National Psoriasis Foundation. He completed the Telehealth Program from the American Board of Telehealth.  
  

He has been named Top Doctor by New Jersey Monthly Magazine; Castle Connolly/New York Magazine; and NJ Top Docs for several years.     
  

He lives in New Jersey with his wife and 4 children.  Outside of work, he likes to exercise, go on hikes (with proper sun protection of course!), read, learn new things, and spend time with his family.  He still dreams.
